Gwen & Peter: The Bob Rumball Manor wedding

Such a beautiful wedding at The Bob Rumball Manor – loved all the whimsical details;  the little mustaches on sticks, fill-in-the-blank wedding advice cards, bubble machines, colourful candy bar, especially the bride’s sparkly Christian Louboutin shoes!

Louisa & Adam: Pickle Barrel Banquet Hall wedding

I absolutely love to photograph such energetic yet easygoing couples like Louisa and Adam. It’s easy to get upset if it rains on your wedding day but Louisa is so awesome – she just shrugged her shoulders and kept smiling the entire day.

The beautiful ceremony was held at Immanuel Baptist Church in North York.

We did manage to get some bridal party photos in at Edwards Gardens just before the showers came down again – at which point, we headed over to North York City Hall, for some indoor photos of the newlyweds.

This location is great because it has lots of covered terraces and the indoor shopping area has huge skylights and windows which offer really nice, natural lighting.

Louisa and Adam held their reception at the Pickle Barrel Banquet Hall in Markville Mall. It was my first time shooting a reception there – the place looked amazing and the food was really good!

I’ve seen my fair share of reception kissing requests, but nothing like the “Superman Kiss!”

Lots of games and trivia kept the guests and bridal party entertained.

Congratulations!

Featured: Nicole & Kyle’s Toronto Zoo wedding

Last summer, I had the pleasure of shooting one of the most fun and unique weddings ever. Nicole and Kyle held their wedding ceremony and reception at the The Toronto Zoo! As they are both biologists, it truly was the perfect setting for their wedding. I’m so happy to see that the photos have recently been published in People magazine’s pet website and also on Offbeat Bride.
