Nami & Quang: Platinum Convention Center wedding

Nami and Quang started their wedding day off with photos at the McMichael Gallery in Kleinberg. It was quite the trek through the wooded area surrounding the gallery, but Nami, Quang, and their lovable and lively bridal party were in great spirits (in spite of all the mosquito bites!) and the resulting photos we took were totally worth it.

Back at the Platinum Convention Center, everyone got straight to work getting ready for the tea ceremony, wedding ceremony, and reception. A lot of effort was put into assembling the stunning crane centerpieces that Nami and her family designed and made.

Nami’s grandmother came all the way from Japan for the wedding. Here she is admiring the painting that Nami’s sister made. I think weddings with so much family influence and personal touches are the most beautiful.

Navreet & Stephen: Jump Cafe & Bar wedding

Navreet and Stephen decided to hold both their eastern and western wedding ceremonies on the same day (not an easy thing to accomplish, but their day flowed perfectly!) Navreet looked stunning in all three outfits and their guests seemed to really enjoy this eventful wedding.

Getting ready at the King Edward Hotel for the western ceremony…

It was pouring rain that day, but we managed to get some fantastic shots inside the hotel.

Navreet and Stephen’s western ceremony and dinner reception were held at Jump Cafe & Bar.

During the reception, we snuck outside when the rain cleared a bit for a few photos with these great elephant sculptures!

The food at Jump is really, really, really good!

What a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple…. Congratulations, Navreet and Stephen!

Kathleen & Aymen: Parkwood Estate wedding

I really wanted to have these sneak peeks up earlier, but I’ve been so busy with travel, engagement sessions, new bookings, and of course shooting some of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever seen. This wedding was no exception. Kathleen and Aymen were married at the Parkwood Estate in Oshawa. I had never heard of this venue before, and it truly is a hidden gem, the grounds are absolutely stunning. There was obviously so much effort put into all the little details of their travel-themed, vintage style event. It was such a pleasure to photograph, I may have gone a bit overboard on all the detail shots in this post! The sky was full of clouds and rain the entire morning and the most memorable part had to be the rain ceasing and the sun breaking out the instant that Kathleen appeared in the garden with her parents, ready to walk down the aisle. It was such a beautiful, emotional, unforgettable moment and it was captured not only by us in photographs, but also by a really fantastic videographer, since the couple had Bruce from Cloud Nine Creative film the entire event. They do such beautiful work, I really love their style. Enjoy the photos!
